This is Lillie, so named after Lillie Langtry a British actress who was a star of the stage in the late 1800’s. Lillie stands just 18 cm (7 inches) high. With her ribbon roses, pearls, beads and crystals she is quite the Victorian lady. I can already visualise her on a classy birthday card. Hmm, [...]

Here’s a guy who will be on my next greeting card. His name is Bjorn. I made him a nice warm sweater that I hope he’ll grow into one day, and a stylish hat with holes in the side. Just the thing for bears with pokey-out ears.

My duo is finally finished. I’ve named the little girl bear ‘Lady Grey’ and with matching hats I think she and Billy T make a very cute couple. Recently I’ve been busy making more bears and greeting cards for the upcoming Gold Coast International Teddy, Doll and Craft Fair to be held at The Gold [...]

This is Billy T, so named because his hat looks like a tea cosy. Billy Tea is also the name of a well known Australian tea company.
He’s part of a duo I’m working on. I hope to use both Billy and a little girl bear together in designs for ‘couple cards’ e.g. anniversaries etc. [...]

My Wild Witch Bear is at last complete. She now wears a fully lined cloak with hood, a gathered chiffon dress (also fully lined), velvet and lace boots, a star studded velvet lined hat, double breasted velvet bodice and even lacy underwear (with stars, of course)! She is adorned with swarovski crystals (including one on [...]

The hat is now finished. It’s decorated with black lace and beads and I’ve added some wire to give it a ‘Gandalf’ shape. The little bug was added to give it a witchy feel. Also, although you can’t see, it’s fully lined with velvet too.

The bear is now complete and it’s time to move on to the hat. I’m making the hat from black penne velvet. The brim has been edged with lace and it’s ready to be assembled and finished.

The head is now complete and as you can see from the side view, the nose has just the right amount of ‘turn-up’ on it. The eyes have eyelids attached which makes them more prominent and gives a strong focal point to the face. The fur certainly has that wild look about it.
