Welcome. I’m Lorraine Poyner and Wild Witch Graphics is the name of my Graphic Design business.
The images above and below are examples of my drawings. I’ve decided to take a new direction in my graphic design life. I’m going to create artwork that combines my detailed drawing skills with abstract design elements to produce work which I hope is unique, effective, and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. I’m incredibly excited about the world of digital technology and the chance to work with all that it offers.
This is a new beginning for me. As time goes on there will be more artwork, photos etc. to look at which I hope you’ll find interesting. I intend to have freebies on my site too in the form of textures (for starters), for those creative people out there who wish to use them in their designs, and other goodies eventually.
The Blog
I’m charting my progress in the form of a blog. A regular update will keep me motivated and lets those people interested also see where I’m up to. From start to finish I’ll show how the drawing/design is progressing, or not, as the case may be. It will be a warts and all blog and of course feedback will be most welcome.
The Artwork/The Photos
As you look around the website you’ll notice the photos. These are displayed for a reason. The artwork produced (i.e. designs for cards, prints, t-shirts etc) will almost always emerge from these. I take the photos myself (unless otherwise stated) and then use part or the entire photo as a source to draw from. I will sometimes use the photo, either in part or as a whole, in the design as is. In any case the photos will certainly play an important part in the finished result.
I hope at least a few people can get some enjoyment from watching my progress. Please join me if you’re interested. If it turns out that I’m the only one who reads this, I guess I’ll see the finished design before anyone else.
Enjoy the site!
Please feel free to email me (see details below) or find me on Facebook and Twitter; I’d love to hear from you.

Good luck in the future. -

Good luck for the future
